Production Week 2017

Over the past two weeks, RyeTAGA has been actively printing and binding this year’s technical journal in preparation for the TAGA 2017 Annual Technical Conference. The duration of week one was spent printing the journal’s inside content on GCM’s own Xerox 700 digital press. The smoke inspired covers were outsourced to Global Imaging, one of RyeTAGA’s four major sponsors that helped bring this journal from concept to reality. Global Imaging also supplied the team with tesa tape, which was used to bind the carbon fibre covers to the book blocks. During week two, the team has been working hard to manually apply the carbon fibre covers to the book blocks, as well as trimming the journals to their final size. Another sponsor, DT Print Solutions generously donated silver belly bands that enclose the journal and complete its look.
